Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations in Minnesota. The role centers on reviewing medical records, conducting detailed evaluations, and preparing objective reports, with no prescribing or ongoing patient management duties.

Requirements include an MD or DO, board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry or PM&R, and an active license. Flexible scheduling options are available and administrative support is provided.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.
• Board certification in one of Neurology, Psychiatry, or PM&R.
• Active unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Excellent clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation prior to evaluations.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of evaluations.
