Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a physician to perform Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations and review records for VA claims.

You will assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals of TBI, complete VA DBQs, and prepare objective reports while ensuring compliance with VA, HIPAA, and state/federal regulations. No prescribing or ongoing patient management is involved.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Board certification in Neurology, Psychiatry, or Physiatry.
• ,
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the practicing state.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) C&P examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records, imaging, and supporting documentation.
• Assess cognitive, emotional, behavioral, neurological, and physical residuals related to TBI.
• Complete VA Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) accurately and thoroughly.
• Prepare timely, objective, and detailed medical reports.
• Maintain compliance with VA standards, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely submission of completed evaluations.
