Job summary

Arhaus Upholstery in Conover, NC is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to visually inspect sofas and chairs at different production stages to ensure a quality product is produced.

You will verify stitching alignment, pattern accuracy, upholstery compliance, fabric and leather finishes, and leg finishes, perform repairs as needed, and push pieces back to upholster to correct issues while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Manufacturing experience required.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.
• Must be able to read a ruler and order tickets.
• Must be able to stand/walk 8 hours and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong English communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure quality.
• Check stitches are straight and pattern matches production tickets.
• Verify upholstery is completed to specifications and fabric/leather finishes are correct.
• Ensure legs and finishes of legs meet requirements and repair as needed.
• Push pieces back to upholster to correct issues and maintain workflow.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Position Details

Job Purpose

Inspect sofas and chairs in different stages of production to ensure a quality product was produced.

Duties And Responsibilities

Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure:

• Stitches are straight
• Ensure pattern is correct according to production ticket
• Ensure piece is Upholstered correctly to specifications
• Ensure there are no holes or flaws in the Fabric / Leather
• Ensure legs and finishes of legs are correct
• Make repairs as needed

Push piece back to upholster to correct issues

Other duties as assigned by the Manager

Working Conditions

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.
