Responsibilities

• Perform visual inspections of the finished product for quality.
• Ensure stitches, patterns, and upholstery are correct.
• Make repairs as needed and return items to upholstery.

Position Details

Job Purpose: Inspect sofas and chairs in different stages of production to ensure a quality product is produced.

Duties and Responsibilities

Perform a visual inspection of the finished product to ensure:

• Stitches are straight
• Pattern is correct according to production ticket
• Upholstery is correct to specifications
• No holes or flaws in the fabric or leather
• Legs and finishes of legs are correct
• Make repairs as needed and push piece back to upholster to correct issues

Other duties as assigned by the Manager.

Working Conditions

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience: Manufacturing Experience.

Preferred Experience: Experience in furniture manufacturing.

Minimum Education: Less than High School.

Preferred Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.

• Must be able to read a ruler.
• Must be able to read an order ticket.
• Must be able to distinguish finishes of legs.
• Must be able to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
• Strict attention to detail.

• Stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
