Job summary

Arhaus is seeking an Outside Upholster (Trimmer) to upholster chairs and sofas with fabric and leather, ensuring 100% quality in a production environment.

Workweek is Monday–Friday 6a–3:30p with overtime as needed; reports to the Outside Upholstery Supervisor. Candidates should be able to read English order tickets and operate stapling tools safely to support efficient manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Must have knowledge of upholstery procedures.
• Able to lift and transport frames.
• Able to read order tickets written in English.
• Experience in furniture manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Upholster outside sections of chairs and sofas.

• Perform own repair work.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Heated and cooled furniture manufacturing plant with concrete floors.

Qualifications

Minimum Experience Requirements

Manufacturing Experience.

Preferred Experience Requirements

Experience in furniture manufacturing.

Minimum Education Requirements

Less than High School.

Preferred Education Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Physical & Environmental Requirements

• Must have knowledge of upholstery procedures.
• Must be able to transport frames to and from work area.
• Must be able to lift frame onto working area.
• Must be able to read an order ticket, written in English.
• Must be able to use staple gun, staple puller, scissors and regulations.
• Must be able to perform own repair work.
• Must be able to work safely, neatly and quickly to meet production requirements.
• Strong communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills.
• Strict attention to detail is a must.
• Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Must have your own reliable transportation.
• Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
• Must be able to work Weekends and Overtime.
• Must be reliable.
• Must be able to wear required safety PPE such as safety glasses and closed‑toe/closed‑heel shoes.
• Must be able to adhere to all safety policies and procedures to prevent injuries to yourself and others.
