Job summary

Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences (RBHS) Newark campus seeks an Interim Business Consultant with the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) Global Tuberculosis Institute (GTBI) to develop, implement, and evaluate TB continuing education programs for physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals. The role is per diem/part-time with on-site work at RBHS.

Reporting to the Director of Education and Training, the position requires knowledge of ACCME standards, healthcare education delivery, and

Qualifications

• Must be familiar with the health care delivery system, education of health care professionals and other constituency groups, and current issues within those fields.
• Must be fully conversant with ACCME standards.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and evaluate TB continuing education products and programs.
• Develop plans to provide TB education to physicians, nurses and other allied health professionals.
• Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge gaps and training formats.
• Establish and maintain contact with federal/state agencies, foundations and stakeholders involved in courses and projects.
• Maintain knowledge of current principles of continuing health education as they relate to course and product development.
• Arrange pilot testing of draft educational products.
