Job summary

Rutgers University is seeking a Student Assistant (Tutors) in the Office of Education within the New Jersey Medical School (NJMS). The role involves tutoring medical students and creating instructional materials for peer learners.

This part-time, on-site position supports training sessions and strict compliance with university policies. The ideal candidate is a NJMS student in years 2–4 or an alumnus/a with a Bachelor's degree, and has prior tutoring experience along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Be a second through fourth year or dual degree NJMS medical student or alum.
• Prefer previous teaching or tutoring experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide part-time instruction to medical students in need of tutoring.
• Prepare materials for 1:1 tutoring sessions as needed.
• Participate in training sessions as needed and/or required.
• Adhere to Rutgers' compliance standards as they appear in RBHS's Corporate Compliance Policy, Code of Conduct and Conflict of Interest Policy.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
