Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field or Accounting Certificate.
• 4-6+ years of tax or public accounting experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing tax returns and supporting engagements.
• Strong understanding of tax compliance and regulations.
• Experience with individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Familiarity with tax research and application of tax law.
• Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to lead, mentor, and support team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Conduct tax research, apply findings to client situations, and identify tax issues with appropriate recommendations or escalation.
• Maintain accurate, complete workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm and regulatory standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, managing engagement-related communications and fostering strong client relationships.
• Deliver high-quality, timely client service by addressing client inquiries and coordinating responses with leadership.
• Manage multiple tax engagements simultaneously, monitor progress, communicate status updates, and ensure deadlines are met.
• Coach, mentor, train, and support Tax Associates and junior staff through work reviews, feedback, onboarding, and professional development.
• Promote a collaborative, high-performing team environment while driving process improvements, supporting firm policies and procedures, and contributing to engagement quality, workflow efficiency, and overall team success.
