Withum seeks a Founders & Tech Executive Tax Manager to lead tax engagements across multiple offices in CA and NJ. You will supervise staff, mentor teams, and build client relationships while delivering strategic tax solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation is required.
• At least 5 years of prior experience in a public accounting tax department with experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing individual, trust, partnership and corporate tax returns prepared by tax staff and/or seniors for accuracy.
• Researching and drafting memoranda involving complex tax matters.
• Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolving tax controversies.
• Overseeing complete tax research projects for a variety of clients and diverse industries.
• Managing multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
• Conducting constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and providing counsel.
• Serving in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
