Job summary

Withum seeks a Founders & Tech Executive Tax Manager to lead tax engagements across multiple U.S. offices, including LA, SF, NJ, and NYC. You will supervise staff, mentor teams, and develop client relationships while delivering accurate tax strategies and timely reporting.

The role demands senior expertise in international, federal, state, and local tax regulations, with a focus on strategic planning and client service excellence. Travel to various offices may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or MS in Taxation is required.
• A minimum of 5 years in a public accounting tax department with leadership experience is expected.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with ability to build client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of tax engagements and supervise staff.
• Research and draft memos on complex tax matters.
• Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
• Handle and resolve tax controversies.
• Oversee tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
• Manage multiple engagements with various teams to meet deadlines.
• Provide mentorship and participate in staff development.
