Job summary

BDO USA, LLP's Private Client Services in Clayton, MO is seeking a Tax Experienced Senior to deliver high-touch tax compliance and consulting for high-net-worth individuals and families. You will engage directly with clients, supervise associates, and lead complex tax returns across estate, trust, and charitable planning, while growing the firm’s PCS practice and client relationships.

Role requires strong leadership, communication, and technical skills, with CPA/EA or equivalent preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance/economics/statistics or CPA with related degree.
• CPA/EA preferred; Master’s in Taxation a plus.
• 3+ years tax experience in PCS/firm environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax and consulting engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities.
• Works with clients and advisors to gather information to prepare returns.
• Develops understanding of complex tax returns across various entities; follows instructions and seeks feedback.
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses.
• Identifies issues, conducts tax research, and makes sound recommendations.
• Thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and prioritizes tasks.
• Assists with PCS contributions including billing, recruiting, and training.
• Builds relationships with professionals inside and outside the firm.
