Job summary

BDO USA's Private Client Services (PCS) is a boutique practice delivering tax compliance and consulting for high net-worth individuals and families. A Tax Experienced Senior in PCS utilizes education, experience, and leadership to serve clients with complex tax needs.

The role emphasizes communication, time management and business development while supervising staff and contributing to firm initiatives. CPA/EA qualifications are preferred for advanced responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of prior tax experience in a CPA or related field.
• Experience in private client services is preferred.
• Prior basic supervisory experience is preferred.
• CPA, Attorney, or Enrolled Agent (EA) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates in tax engagements and identifies client needs and opportunities.
• Gathers information with clients and advisors to prepare tax returns.
• Develops understanding of complex returns for trusts, estates, S-Corps, foundations, partnerships and gifts.
• Reviews basic returns and provides feedback to staff and interns.
• Analyzes tax notices and drafts responses.
• Conducts advanced tax research and recommends solutions.
• Works in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment both independently and in a team.
• Supports PCS/firm contributions including billing and training.
• Builds relationships with professionals inside and outside the firm.
