We are actively hiring for a newly created Tax Senior Associate / Tax Senior Accountant position at our growing CPA firm client, with whom we have a longstanding, excellent relationship.

The firm offers a laid-back culture, primarily working four days per week after the busy season. You will report directly to the firm's Tax Manager and mentor, review, and oversee the tax preparation work of all Tax Staff & Associates (10-15). Currently, they have remote employees.

The firm is a leading Washington-based accounting and consulting firm established in 1954, providing a broad spectrum of tax and advisory services. They are seeking a career-minded TAX Manager with over 4 years of public accounting experience. There are immediate opportunities for partnership, growth, and development within the firm. They conduct promotions and raises twice a year. Tax Seniors may work fully remote or from one of four offices in eastern Washington, which also offer work-from-home options. Compensation is competitive, with relocation, bonuses, and benefits packages. During summer months, employees have Fridays off.

This firm has doubled its revenue in the last 8 years, and this position is open due to growth. They value career-minded individuals and have offices across Eastern Washington, promoting a one-firm approach. Their client retention and growth rate are very high. The client base is seasonal for taxes, with peak workload from January through April, and minimal to no tax extensions; the rest of the year focuses on succession planning and tax strategies.

Responsibilities for the Tax Senior Associate / Tax Accountant

• Report directly to the Firm's Tax Manager.
• Review the work of all Tax Staff & Associates.
• Manage project deadlines and coordinate with team members.
• Oversee all phases of tax engagements.
• Review individual and business tax returns, providing timely feedback.
• Stay current on tax law changes and best practices.
• Participate in process improvements and firm activities.

Qualifications

• CPA or in progress; the firm will cover 100% of study materials and exam costs.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience preparing and reviewing individual and business taxes.
