Job summary

CLA is a top national professional services firm seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join the Heartland CLA Region with multiple Illinois locations including Bloomington.

You will lead engagements, advise clients on tax matters, and collaborate with teammates to resolve complex issues while driving engagement quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Active CPA license (or EA for Tax positions) or eligible to sit for CPA exams and meet 150-credit requirement.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, supervise, and review individual, C corporation, S corporation, and partnership engagements.
• Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and collaborate with other tax team members on complex issues.
• Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
• Develop and train team members to foster their careers.
• Expand technical and professional knowledge through client interactions, self-study, and training opportunities.
• Work with many great clients.

CLA is currently seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Heartland CLA Region. Locations include: St. Louis, Kansas City, Peoria IL, Bloomington IL, Dixon IL, Champaign IL, Danville IL, and O'Fallon IL.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Senior Associate role:

• Prepare, supervise, and review individual, C corporation, S corporation, and partnership engagements.
• Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues.
• Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Expand your technical and professional knowledge through greater exposure to client interactions, regular self-study, and training opportunities.
• Get the opportunity to work with many great clients

What you will need:

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active CPA license (or EA for Tax positions) or are eligible to sit for the CPA exams and meet the 150-credit requirement to obtain a CPA license.
• You have at least 2 years' experience as an associate in public accounting.
