Job summary

CLA is a top 10 national professional services firm seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Heartland CLA Region, with locations including Peoria, IL. You will prepare, supervise, and review tax engagements for individuals and entities, and partner with clients to deliver customized advisory services while mentoring staff.

We offer opportunities to expand your technical knowledge through client exposure, training, and collaborative work with high-performing teams across multiple IL locations.

Qualifications

• Active CPA license or eligibility to sit for CPA exams and meet 150-credit requirement.
• At least 2 years of public accounting experience.
• Willingness to mentor and train team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, supervise, and review individual, C corp, S corp, and partnership engagements.
• Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and research complex issues.
• Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
• Develop and train team members to support their career growth.
• Expand technical and professional knowledge through client exposure and training.
• Collaborate with a wide range of clients and colleagues.

CLA is currently seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our Heartland CLA Region. Locations include: St. Louis, Kansas City, Peoria IL, Bloomington IL, Dixon IL, Champaign IL, Danville IL, and O'Fallon IL.

How you’ll create opportunities in this Tax Senior Associate role:

• Prepare, supervise, and review individual, C corporation, S corporation, and partnership engagements.
• Partner with clients to provide customized tax advisory services and work closely with other tax team members to identify and research complex tax issues.
• Focus on engagement management and operational excellence.
• Develop and train team members to help them build inspired careers.
• Expand your technical and professional knowledge through greater exposure to client interactions, regular self-study, and training opportunities.
• Get the opportunity to work with many great clients

What you will need:

• You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• You have an active CPA license (or EA for Tax positions) or are eligible to sit for the CPA exams and meet the 150-credit requirement to obtain a CPA license.
• You have at least 2 years' experience as an associate in public accounting.
