Job summary

FourLeaf Federal Credit Union seeks a Temporary VITA Assistant to support the VITA/TCE program during tax season with scheduling, tax preparation, taxpayer support, and quality reviews. The role includes both virtual and in-person engagements and requires IRS training and certification.

The position offers flexible scheduling across Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and New York City partner sites, with travel as needed, and an hourly rate of $20, plus benefits including health coverage and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Some college completed.
• Willingness to travel to partner locations.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable using video conferencing tools and handling sensitive information securely.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments and assist with tax preparation and taxpayer support.
• Provide virtual and in-person support, verify identities, ensure documents ready for upload.
• Prepare tax returns from interview notes and IRS forms.
• Conduct quality reviews of completed tax returns and schedule video appointments to finalize filings.
• Support VITA teams at partner locations across Nassau, Suffolk, Queens, and NYC, assisting with setup and intake.
