Job summary

United Way of Tarrant County is seeking several temporary VITA Site Support Specialists to assist our VITA program from January 2027 through April 2027. You will help create a welcoming, organized environment for taxpayers and volunteers, support site procedures, and assist with documentation and privacy controls.

The role requires strong communication, confidentiality, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Strong customer service orientation with volunteers and taxpayers.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
• Professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality in handling records.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends during tax season.
• Experience with basic computer databases and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations and customer service at the VITA site.
• Assist with site opening/closing and readiness activities.
• Maintain site records, logs, and administrative documentation.
• Provide assistance to the Site Coordinator and volunteers.
• Help ensure privacy of taxpayer information per IRS standards.
• Support the mission and values of United Way of Tarrant County.
