Job summary

Civicworks is seeking an Assistant Section Manager within the Revenue Administration Division to supervise the Data Capture and Scanning Unit, Document Control Unit, and Error Correction Unit. This role requires driving deadlines, strong attention to detail, and effective staff motivation in a fast-paced environment.

You will learn from and occasionally perform the duties of the Section Manager while managing multiple tax types and ensuring accuracy and compliance across the unit.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required from an accredited four-year college or university.
• Five years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, tax law, or general management.
• Three years of experience supervising professional accountants or auditors, or in responsible administrative/management capacity.
• Knowledge of state and federal tax forms, laws, rules and regulations.
• Experience with COM Systems including GPE tax system, BobJ/Data Warehouse, and Service Now.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite and experience leading training.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Data Capture and Scanning Unit, Document Control Unit, and Error Correction Unit in the Returns Processing Section.
• Learn from and occasionally perform the duties of the Section Manager in this dynamic tax administration role.
