The Revenue Administration Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to serve as an Assistant Section Manager in the Returns Processing Section. This is a dynamic, fast-paced, high-volume position that requires someone with good attention to detail, and an ability to handle many high-level tasks while managing deadlines. We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills, is able to adapt to change, and able to motivate people to achieve a high level of accurate and efficient production.
This position is responsible for the direct supervision and daily operations of the Data Capture and Scanning Unit, Document Control Unit, and Error Correction Unit. The Assistant Section Manager is responsible for learning the duties of the Section Manager and effectively performing those duties in the absence of the Section Manager. This responsibility encompasses the processing of multiple tax types in a fast-paced and constantly evolving work environment.
Education: Possession of a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four year college or university.
Experience: Five years of professional experience in auditing, accounting, the practice of tax law, or general management. Three years of this experience must have involved supervising professional accountants or auditors; giving legal advice requiring the interpretation of tax laws in the capacity of a tax attorney; or must have been in a responsible administrative or management capacity sufficient to demonstrate capabilities of performing responsible staff work.
Dependencies: Candidates may substitute an additional four years of experience for the required education.
