Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking a Tax Resource Support Specialist to coordinate staffing, track workflow, and support both internal and outsourced tax resources. This role emphasizes execution, data tracking, and cross-team communication to ensure timely, well-managed tax engagements.

Responsibilities include coordinating engagements, monitoring workloads, routing outsourced work, and maintaining dashboards for leadership visibility.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, tax support, or admin coordination.
• Familiarity with tax workflows (1040, 1065, 1120) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assignment of tax engagements with staffing guidance.
• Maintain staffing schedules and track resource allocation.
• Monitor workload and adjust staffing during peak periods.
• Route work to outsourced tax teams and track delivery timelines.
• Maintain workflow systems and ensure accurate engagement updates.
• Generate reports on capacity, utilization, and turnaround times.
• Serve as a communication link between staff, managers, and outsourcing teams.
• Identify workflow inefficiencies and support standardization efforts.
