Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking a Tax Resource Support Specialist to coordinate staffing, track workflow, and support both internal and outsourced tax resources. The role focuses on execution, data tracking, and ensuring engagements are assigned, monitored, and delivered on time.

The position supports efficient resource utilization and meeting client service deadlines in a fast-paced tax environment. Prior tax workflow exposure is preferred and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, tax support, or administrative coordination.
• Exposure to tax workflows (1040, 1065, 1120) preferred.
• Associate’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Resource Coordination: Assign tax engagements and maintain staffing schedules.
• Outsourcing Coordination: Route work to outsourcing teams and track start/due dates.
• Workflow Tracking & Administration: Maintain workflow systems and ensure status updates.
• Reporting & Data Analysis: Generate capacity, utilization, and turnaround reports.
• Communication & Coordination: Act as liaison between tax staff, managers, and outsourcing teams.
• Process Improvement Support: Identify inefficiencies and help implement standardized procedures.
