Job summary

Dean Dorton is seeking a Tax Resource Support Specialist to coordinate staffing, track workflows, and support both internal and outsourced tax resources. You will help ensure engagements are assigned, monitored, and delivered on time, acting as a bridge between tax staff, managers, and outsourcing teams.

The role focuses on execution, data tracking, and communication to optimize resource utilization and meet client deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in public accounting, tax support, or administrative coordination.
• Exposure to tax workflows (1040, 1065, 1120) preferred.
• Ability to interpret basic performance data and generate insights.
• Experience with workflow tools and reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in assigning tax engagements to appropriate staff based on guidance from the Tax Resource Manager.
• Maintain staffing schedules and resource allocation trackers.
• Monitor workload distribution and flag imbalances or capacity concerns.
• Coordinate outsourcing to tax preparation teams and track progress.
