Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Interview Assistant to support client onboarding during the tax season. You’ll input client and W-2 information into the tax program, assemble returns, and verify signatures, helping deliver accurate tax returns.

Strong math and reading skills, plus clear communication, are essential. Experience with Windows-based programs is helpful; some state/local requirements may apply. This role emphasizes offering superior service to clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
