Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Tax Assistant to support tax interviews and client onboarding. You will input client and W-2 information, assemble returns, and ensure signatures and client review are completed.

The role emphasizes accuracy, basic reading and math skills, clear communication, and familiarity with Windows-based software. There may be additional state/local requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
• All other duties as assigned
