Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a detail-minded associate to support tax interview flow and client service at our Vandalia, IL office. You will enter client and W-2 information at the start of interviews, assemble tax returns at the end, gather signatures, and review the finished product with clients.

You may also perform bookkeeping tasks and handle other duties as assigned. This role emphasizes accurate data entry, clear communication, and courteous service to ensure every client leaves confident

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax return interview.
Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program
Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures
Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service
All other duties as assigned
