Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a Tax Interview Assistant to support tax-season workflows in Illinois. You will initiate client interviews by entering client and W-2 data into our tax software and help close interviews by assembling returns and obtaining signatures.

Applicants should have a high school diploma, strong reading and math skills, and clear communication abilities. Familiarity with Windows-based programs is helpful; state/local requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with the closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining signatures, and reviewing with the client.
• Provide superior service to all H&R Block clients.
• Other duties as assigned.
