Job summary

H&R Block in Hoopeston, IL is seeking an entry-level Tax Associate to assist at the start of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program, and to help close the interview by assembling the tax return and obtaining signatures. You will ensure clients receive superior service, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.

Strong math, reading, and communication skills are essential, with experience in Windows-based programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with beginning of the tax interview by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program.
• Assist with closing of the interview by assembling the tax return, obtaining required signatures, reviewing the finished product with the client, and completing bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
