Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented teammate to support frontline tax interviews in Ottawa, IL. You will help begin interviews by entering client and W-2 information into the tax program, and you will assist in closing interviews by assembling returns and obtaining signatures.

Strong reading and math skills, good communication, and comfort with Windows programs are essential. State and local requirements may apply; all duties contribute to delivering superior service to clients.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Reading and math skills required to begin and finish the tax interview.
• Ability to communicate effectively in person and on the phone.
• Previous experience with Windows-based computer programs.
• Additional state and local requirements may apply.

Responsibilities

• Enter client and W-2 information into the tax program at the start of the interview.
• Assemble the tax return, obtain signatures, review the finished product with the client, and complete bookkeeping procedures.
• Ensure all H&R Block clients are receiving superior service.
• All other duties as assigned.
