BDO USA in Phoenix seeks a Tax Managing Director to advise clients on tax implications, lead risk assessment, and guide complex tax issues with a senior leadership perspective. You’ll oversee engagements, review work, and mentor associates while shaping regional tax strategy.

The role emphasizes marketing, networking and business development within an area of specialization, maintaining client relationships and acting as the primary contact for complex questions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; major in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Statistics preferred.
• Masters in Accountancy or Taxation preferred.
• Ten (10) or more years of prior relevant tax experience and/or public accounting, private industry accounting or consulting/professional services experience required.
• CPA certification, Attorney (admitted to practice) or EA required.

Responsabilités

• Tax Compliance: ensure client compliance while minimizing tax and reporting burdens and ensure adherence to firm policies.
• Research: identify issues, frame and report analysis clearly for efficient research.
• ASC 740 (FAS 109 and FIN 48) Tax Accruals: apply policies and provide income tax provisions.
• Tax Consulting: develop and implement methods to maximize client benefits and reduce taxes.
• Tax Specialization: develop deep knowledge in taxation areas and advise clients.
• Strategy Development: introduce improved ideas to reduce taxes or expenses.
• Other duties as required.
