ProPivotal in Wakefield, MA is seeking an experienced Tax Manager on a leadership track for a client-facing tax professional who desires real influence, strong support, and a flexible hybrid schedule.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager or Tax Supervisor ready to move up, joining a progressive CPA firm with specialized tax advisory services and clear advancement opportunities. Hybrid schedule with in-office Tue/Wed/Thu and remote Mon/Fri.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of public accounting experience with tax focus.
• Active CPA required.
• Experience leading multiple client engagements and deadlines.
• Organized, detail-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Experience with QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, MS Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tax engagements in line with firm standards.
• Plan and schedule engagements balancing client expectations and resources.
• Build and maintain direct client relationships with ongoing advisory.
• Review complex tax returns and workpapers for quality and timeliness.
• Conduct tax research and apply findings to planning and advisory work.
• Provide coaching and oversight to staff.
• Manage engagement economics and support business development.
• Support consulting and special projects as needed.
