Ideal for an experienced Tax Manager or Tax Supervisor aiming to move into management, this position emphasizes growth, mentoring staff, expanding client relationships, and delivering advisory services beyond traditional compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of public accounting experience (tax-focused).
• Active CPA required.
• Proven experience leading multiple client engagements and managing deadlines.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with common tax/accounting tools (QuickBooks, ProSystem fx Tax, MS Word/Excel)

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise tax engagements in accordance with firm and professional standards.
• Plan and schedule engagements, balancing client expectations and internal resources.
• Build and maintain direct client relationships (ongoing advisory, not just compliance).
• Review complex tax returns and workpapers; ensure quality, accuracy, and timeliness.
• Conduct tax research and apply findings to planning and advisory work.
• Provide coaching, training, and oversight to develop staff and strengthen delivery.
• Manage engagement economics (budgets, production goals) and support business development.
• Support consulting and special projects as needed.
