Job summary

gpac is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to lead a growing tax practice with a focus on technical tax expertise, client advisory, and team leadership. The role offers a hybrid schedule and opportunities for advancement within a collaborative culture.

The Tax Manager will own client engagements, provide proactive planning, and mentor assessors while collaborating with senior leadership on strategy and service expansion.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting and tax experience, preferably in public accounting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or related field.
• CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience supervising, mentoring, or developing accounting professionals.
• Strong knowledge of business and individual taxation.
• Understanding of GAAP and applicable accounting standards.

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex business and individual tax engagements.
• Provide proactive tax planning, consulting, and advisory services to clients.
• Serve as a key point of contact for clients and provide practical tax solutions.
• Develop strong client relationships by understanding their businesses and goals.
• Research complex federal and state tax issues and provide well-supported recommendations.
• Lead, mentor, and develop senior associates and associates.
