Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Tax Manager or Senior Tax Manager to lead client engagements and mentor staff within our growing tax practice. The role focuses on managing relationships, complex tax engagements, and growth initiatives while offering a clear path to partnership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience for Tax Manager; 8+ years for Senior Tax Manager
• Strong knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance and planning
• Experience supervising, developing, and mentoring staff
• Ability to manage client relationships and lead engagement teams

Responsibilities

• Manage and review complex tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts
• Serve as primary contact for a portfolio of clients and build long-term relationships
• Identify tax planning opportunities and provide proactive strategic advice
• Research and resolve complex tax issues and stay current with tax laws
• Supervise, train, and mentor tax staff and senior associates
• Review work product for accuracy and quality
• Manage engagement budgets, timelines, and staffing
• Assist with IRS/state notices, audits, and correspondence
• Participate in business development and identify opportunities for additional services
• Collaborate on firm strategy and department growth initiatives (Senior Manager level)
