Job summary

RSM US LLP in Chicago seeks a Tax Manager to advise multinational clients on corporate tax strategy, planning, and compliance, leveraging ASC 740 insights.

You will mentor staff, review complex returns, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver technology-enabled services and drive client value. The role requires strong communication, client management, and at least 5 years in public accounting.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA, JD, LLM or EA certification required or eligible.
• Minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience with C Corp clients.
• Experience with ASC 740 income tax provisioning.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage client relationships and work across teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed review and analysis of complex tax returns.
• Mentor and coach staff; train and develop team.
• Advise clients on corporate tax planning, compliance and mergers & acquisitions.
• Coordinate with clients and service teams; manage risk.
• Help with business development and cross-sell services.
• Stay current on tax law changes.
• Travel as needed.
