Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of litigation paralegal experience.
• Prior focus on tax controversy or commercial litigation.
• Proficiency with U.S. Tax Court rules and procedures.
• Advanced skills in Westlaw, LexisNexis, and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organized physical and electronic case files.
• Manage litigation calendars, tracking all deadlines.
• Coordinate trial logistics, exhibits, and notebooks.
• Attend hearings and trials to assist attorneys.
• Draft petitions, motions, and briefs.
• Prepare routine correspondence with tax authorities.
• Review IRS administrative records for key details.
• Edit and proofread complex legal documents.
• Manage the discovery process from start to finish.
• Draft interrogatories and requests for production.
• Organize, index, and analyze financial records.
• Utilize e-discovery platforms for document reviews.
• Conduct legal research using Westlaw or LexisNexis.
• Retrieve tax guidance, regulations, and case law.
• File documents via electronic courts (e.g., U.S. Tax Court).
