Job summary

Intuit seeks a TurboTax Local Service Expert to provide hands-on tax advice, prepare returns, and support clients in person and virtually from a local TurboTax location. You’ll act as a bridge to other Intuit services while driving local growth and delivering a superior client experience.

The role emphasizes on-site work, strong tax knowledge, and building lasting relationships with clients in the community.

Qualifications

• EA (Enrolled Agent), CPA (Certified Public Accountant), or Practicing Attorney with strong tax preparation experience and extensive knowledge of tax laws preferred.
• Have an active Preparer Tax Identification Number (PTIN) as required by law to file taxes.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30 or more federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season using professional tax preparation software.Familiarity with Circular 230
• Willing to upskill into additional service types or more complex work areas (e.g., bookkeeping, payroll, business tax advisory) with training provided by Intuit
• Must be comfortable working onsite at a TurboTax office location, primarily between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time, Monday through Friday, for a minimum of 20 hours per week. Operating hours are subject to change and will likely scale up during periods of peak customer demand, such as tax season
• Must be willing and able to complete all required training and development as determined by the business including, but not limited to, compliance training, proficiency-based up‑skilling, cross‑training of other products or offerings, and professional development. Training requirements are subject to change based on business needs and the company reserves the right to introduce additional requirements at any time
• Must be willing to wear Intuit provided uniforms. Must be willing to use your name, picture for advertising on goggle.
• Interest in building a local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert, creating accessible tax-related content and resources for your community in accordance with Intuit’s policies
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing

Responsibilities

• Provide Tax Expertise - Give hands‑on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax clients, handling simple to complex tax situations (e.g., personal and business income, deductions optimization, amendments).
• Be a Proactive Community Ambassador - Embody a “community ambassador” and “business owner” mindset to actively build and grow a new local customer base for TurboTax.
• Champion the Full Intuit Ecosystem - Develop a deep understanding of clients' complete financial picture and connect them with Intuit solutions.
• Build Relationships - Connect with people and build long-term trust for multi-year client relationships.
• Deliver a Best in Class Customer Experience - Create exceptional customer experience and help clients achieve financial goals.
