The State of Nevada Department of Taxation seeks two Tax Examiners for Reno to provide customer service, assist with registrations, and manage tax accounts. The role requires knowledge of tax statutes and regulations, with duties covering in-person, written, and telephone inquiries.

Candidates should be prepared to review accounts for compliance, process licenses, and maintain accurate records while handling tax returns, payments, and related documentation under supervision.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• On-the-job bookkeeping or tax-related experience.
• Knowledge of tax statutes and department regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Assist taxpayers with tax returns, registrations and account updates.
• Review accounts for compliance with tax statutes and regulations.
• Answer taxability questions in person, by mail, and by phone.
• Process licenses/registrations and maintain taxpayer records.
• Reconcile receipts and prepare deposits.
