PayPal seeks a Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global information reporting and withholding tax compliance across products, processes, and procedures. You will collaborate with cross-functional partners to evaluate new and existing products for reporting applicability and policy needs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tax experience with a JD and bar admission.
• Ability to independently manage significant tax matters.
• Experience advising on and documenting tax analyses for compliance.

Responsibilities

• Advise on complex tax issues affecting operations, transactions, and initiatives.
• Develop and document technical tax analyses supporting planning, reporting, audit defense, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with business units and Finance to structure initiatives tax-efficiently and compliantly.
• Identify tax risk exposures and suggest mitigation aligned with PayPal's risk tolerance.
• Coordinate with outside advisors and manage external engagements.
• Mentor junior attorneys or legal staff and contribute to knowledge in tax function.
