Responsibilities

• Advise on complex tax issues affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Develop technical tax analyses to support planning, reporting positions, audit defense, and regulatory compliance.
• Partner with business units and Finance leadership to structure initiatives tax-efficiently.
• Identify tax risk exposures and propose mitigation aligned with PayPal’s risk tolerance.
• Coordinate with outside advisors and manage external engagements as needed.
• Mentor junior attorneys and contribute to knowledge development within the tax function.
