Zusammenfassung

PayPal is seeking an experienced Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global information reporting and withholding tax policy compliance across products, processes, and procedures. The role collaborates with cross-functional partners to assess new products and determine the need for new reporting policies or updates to existing ones.

The lawyer will exercise sound judgment to identify legal risk, advise on policy requirements, and support compliance with FATCA, CRS, CARF, and 1099 rules

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of relevant tax experience with a JD or foreign equivalent.
• Admission to practice law in at least one jurisdiction.
• Ability to independently manage significant tax matters.

Aufgaben

• Advise on complex tax issues affecting business operations, transactions and initiatives.
• Develop and document technical tax analyses for planning, reporting, audit defense, and compliance.
• Partner with business units and Finance leadership to structure initiatives tax efficiently and compliantly.
• Identify tax risk exposures and propose mitigation aligned with PayPal’s risk tolerance.
• Coordinate with external advisors and manage discrete engagements.
