PayPal is seeking an experienced Tax Counsel - Information Reporting to ensure global information reporting and withholding tax compliance across products and processes. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional partners to evaluate new products for applicability of information reporting policies and the creation of new policies where needed.

• 5+ years of tax experience with a JD or equivalent.
• Ability to independently manage significant tax matters.
• Experience advising on complex tax issues affecting business operations.

Responsibilities

• Advises on complex tax issues affecting operations, transactions and initiatives.
• Develops and documents technical tax analyses for planning and regulatory compliance.
• Partners with business units to structure initiatives in a tax-efficient manner.
• Identifies tax risk exposures and recommends mitigation aligned with risk tolerance.
• Coordinates with outside advisors and mentors junior professionals.
