Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Tax Manager, Digital Tax Solutions in Milwaukee, WI, to lead tax automation initiatives and client engagements. You will market and develop business, coordinate with Tax AI leadership, and manage engagements from scoping through deployment and client hand-off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; focus in Accounting, Finance, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or Technology
• Graduate degree preferred
• Five (5) or more years of experience with technology or tax systems, required
• CPA/Attorney (admitted to practice in a U.S. jurisdiction) or EA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Qualifies viability of prospective clients or projects and identifies opportunities to expand current business
• Develops unique tax automation strategies aligned with client objectives
• Leads planning or project delivery meetings including proposal delivery and workshops
• Manages work plans for tax consulting projects and directs staff accordingly
• Gathers requirements, estimates fees, and drafts proposals and business cases
• Delivers clear, compelling proposals and identifies opportunities to streamline internal standards
• Communicates complex technical items to clients in clear terms
• Demonstrates advanced project management and ensures on-time, on-budget delivery
• Ensures proper scoping and follows client engagement terms
• Oversees project setup, billing and basic economics
• Collaborates with teams and clients to align on the big picture
• Develops and presents quantitative/qualitative business cases for investments
• Maintains client relationships and executive presence
