Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Tax Associate to start a hands-on, apprenticeship-style career in tax and client service. This in-person role partners with a Client Care Specialist to review each client's tax situation, provide clear advice, and build trust through a client-first approach.

You'll use advanced technology to prepare returns, ask open questions, and identify tax savings opportunities while growing your knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course.
• Experience interacting with customers in a service-oriented environment.
• Strong communication skills, including explaining information clearly and asking questions to understand needs.
• Problem-solving skills, including organizing information and identifying solutions.
• Comfort using digital tools and AI-based tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.
• High school diploma / GED / equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Review each client's tax situation and provide clear guidance.
• Use advanced technology to prepare returns while ensuring accuracy.
• Ask open-ended questions and listen to identify client needs and savings opportunities.
• Recommend relevant products and services based on client needs and situations.
