Job summary

H&R Block is hiring a Tax Associate for an in-person, apprenticeship-style role. You’ll work with a Client Care Specialist to review each client’s tax situation, provide clear advice, and build trust. Training and coaching support your growth, with access to advanced technology to ensure accurate returns and personalized guidance.

You’ll engage clients, ask open questions, and recommend relevant services while contributing to a collaborative, client-first office culture.

Qualifications

Successful customer service experience or interaction with clients.
Clear communication skills and ability to ask questions to understand needs.
Problem-solving abilities and organizing information to identify solutions.
Comfort with digital tools and systems including AI-based tools such as Copilot and ChatGPT.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.

Responsibilities

Partner with Client Care Specialist to gather client information and focus on reviewing tax situations.
Use advanced technology to prepare returns while reviewing results for accuracy and personalized advice.
Ask open questions and listen actively to identify tax savings opportunities for clients.
Recommend products and services based on client needs and situations.
Continue building tax knowledge through ongoing training to improve client service and confidence.
