Job summary

Intuit, Inc. is seeking TurboTax Retail Experts to work onsite at a TurboTax Retail or Flagship location in California. You will provide in-person tax preparation, expert advice, and software support, while growing the local client base and building long-term relationships within the community.

You will leverage your tax expertise, interact with customers, and participate in local marketing efforts. A strong foundation in tax preparation and customer service is essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted EA, CPA, or attorney license with strong tax preparation experience.
• Active PTIN required to file taxes.
• Must hold or obtain relevant State licenses, certificates, permits, or bonds.
• Minimum of 3 years of paid experience filing 30+ federal and state individual 1040 tax returns per tax season.
• Familiarity with Circular 230.
• Must be onsite at TurboTax retail location, Sunday–Saturday, at least 20 hours per week.
• Interest in building local and online social presence as a TurboTax Expert.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) communication skills are a plus.
• Experience in holistic tax advisory services beyond tax filing.
• Willing to wear a TurboTax uniform; work in front-facing retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Represent TurboTax locally as a public face in the community.
• Engage with new prospects, nurture leads, convert to clients through outreach.
• Lead local marketing efforts with TurboTax support to make taxes approachable.
• Provide hands-on tax advice and complete preparation services for TurboTax customers.
• Handle simple to complex tax situations and maximize refunds.
• Facilitate discovery sessions and tax reviews for deductions and planning.
• Deliver accurate tax solutions using government resources and professional tools.
