H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor who will prepare complete and accurate tax returns for individuals and businesses, conduct in-depth client interviews to understand their financial situations, and provide clear, personalized recommendations. You will build lasting relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.

Role requires IRS/state CE compliance, strong communication, and a client-facing advisory mindset.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns.
• Client-facing, consultative, or advisory experience.
• Must meet IRS/state requirements and complete CE.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse tax situations, including individual and business returns.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications, then provide clear recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships and identify tax savings opportunities and Block Advisors products.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members and contribute to a positive, client-focused office environment.
