Job summary

Tasting & Tap Room Expo is seeking a hands-on leader to supervise a tasting room team, train staff on service, inventory, and our wines, history, and policies. You will guide front-of-house operations, manage staff scheduling in Sling, and lead meetings to drive a high-performing culture.

You will oversee daily operations, compliance with ABC rules, and guest experiences, including tastings and events, while maintaining guest engagement and wine education.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age (pouring and serving wine)
• 2+ years tasting room, wine sales, or hospitality experience; 1+ year in supervisory role
• RBS certification or obtained within 60 days of hire
• Working knowledge of wine and wine production; formal wine education preferred
• Work as scheduled including weekends and holidays
• Proficient with Word, Excel, and Outlook; strong POS proficiency (Shopify, Tock, ShipCompliant)
• Learn new systems quickly
• Polished written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Collaborative, professional, and solutions-oriented; able to set that standard for the team

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries with high level of service, handling difficult situations calmly
• Prioritize competing responsibilities and meet deadlines in a changing environment
• Maintain reliable attendance and accountability for shifts and tasks
• Operate Shopify, Tock, ShipCompliant, and guest correspondence platforms
• Move between tables and carry trays of glassware, wine, and food
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds, frequently throughout a shift
