Description

At Caf Sevilla, the Busser position is responsible for assisting the wait staff during shifts while maintaining a clean and organized venue for employees and guests. Success in this role requires passionate communication of Sevilla's unique characteristics, positive contribution to the work environment, and adherence to company, state, and federal regulations.

The position includes roles of Stocking Busser (BS) and Busser Runner (BR). On busy shifts, specific roles are assigned and listed on the Daily Player's List. When only one Busser works, duties of both roles are performed by that individual. Responsibilities include:

1. Using opening and closing checklists to track procedures.
2. Creating a great guest experience and encouraging return visits.
3. Responding promptly to guest needs.
4. Knowing Sevilla's Steps of Service for servers and bartenders.
5. Maintaining table settings and supporting wait staff with food delivery and supplies.
6. Preparing dining areas, stocking supplies, and cleaning spills.
7. Monitoring ticket times and ensuring food and drinks meet standards.
8. Communicating with host staff about table availability.
9. Ensuring guest satisfaction and handling concerns promptly.
10. Adhering to sanitation, safety, and alcohol policies.
11. Reporting safety or maintenance issues immediately.
12. Carrying trays, maintaining clean work areas, and following cleaning schedules.
13. Providing excellent customer service and engaging with guests.
14. Completing training and maintaining a positive team attitude.

Additional responsibilities include proper clock-in/out, attending staff meetings, reporting harassment or safety concerns, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Minimum requirements include a High School Diploma or equivalent, 1+ years of relevant experience, knowledge of safety and sanitary standards, and valid Food Handler's and LEAD cards. Computer skills involve familiarity with POS and timekeeping systems.

The work environment is typically loud, confined, and occasionally hot, requiring a clean presentation at all times. Reasonable accommodations can be made for disabilities.
