Beach Bum Tanning invites energetic professionals to join as Tanning Consultants in Hoboken. Represent our brand, guide clients through tanning options, and help them achieve their ideal glow with outstanding service.

This role emphasizes customer interaction, product recommendations, and achieving sales goals in a fast-paced, friendly environment. Both full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 18 years or older.
• Experience in customer service or sales preferred.
• Able to work evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Able to stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere.
• Evaluating skin types and recommending tanning equipment, products and safety guidelines.
• Explaining the tanning process clearly and answering questions.
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean and stocked.
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products.
• Meeting or surpassing sales goals while delivering excellent service.
• Building client relationships and encouraging repeat visits.
• Maintaining client records including preferences and tanning history.
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards.
• Completing daily inventory reports.

Key Responsibilities

Your daily responsibilities may include:

• Welcoming clients and creating a warm, inviting atmosphere from the moment they arrive
• Evaluating skin types and recommending the most suitable tanning equipment, products, and safety guidelines
• Explaining the tanning process clearly, answering questions, and ensuring clients feel comfortable and informed
• Keeping tanning rooms and common areas clean, organized, and fully stocked
• Recommending and selling lotions and retail products based on client needs
• Consistently meeting or surpassing sales goals while maintaining excellent customer service
• Building strong client relationships and encouraging repeat visits
• Maintaining accurate client records, including preferences and tanning history
• Opening and closing the salon according to company standards
• Completing daily inventory reports

Qualifications

• Positive, outgoing, and passionate about the tanning and beauty industry
• High school graduates (or equivalent)
• At least 18 years old
• Strong communicators, both verbally and in writing
• Experienced in customer service or sales (preferred)
• Able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Comfortable standing, bending, and being on their feet for extended periods
