Job summary

John W. Stone Oil Distributor, LLC is seeking a Tankerman/PIC to operate onboard company vessels, performing all aspects of liquid cargo transfer with strict safety compliance. The role requires living onboard for extended periods, conducting inspections, managing hoses and valves, and submitting required paperwork.

Eligible candidates hold TWIC, MMC with Tankerman-PIC and Dangerous Liquids endorsements, and must pass DOT drug screening and fit-for-duty exams as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Valid TWIC and Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) with Tankerman-PIC endorsement.
• Endorsements for Dangerous Liquids are required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as PIC and conduct liquid cargo transfer operations safely and efficiently.
• Inspect barges and connect/disconnect hoses, align valves, and monitor cargo flow.
• Complete paperwork including the Declaration of Inspection (DOI).
• Maintain vessel and equipment in good working order and ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Live and work in close quarters onboard for weeks at a time.
